Leadership turns to be more dynamic, innovative to solve problems alternatively and become more globalized and harmonized to move the world forward collaboratively.

Organizations and the world are more complex nowadays. The rapid change, abundant knowledge, and diversified global society requires more advanced mindsets and strong leadership influence.

It’s important for organizational leaders and professionals to apply a multidimensional thinking box to understand global context, sustain diversified viewpoints into holistic perspectives, provide guidance, make positive influences and inspire progressive changes.

Leadership effectiveness is based on interdisciplinary knowledge, the breadth of expertise and depth of impact: Organizations are diversified and dynamic; leadership is to bridge. Orchestrating a diversified team can indeed enhance the higher level of harmony. Interdisciplinary leadership needs to become the new normal. It’s so easy to miss the essence of communication with one another if you do not understand each other enough. To effectively lead an organization to good practices, besides soft qualities such as communication, the hard core of leadership is knowledge, insight, and wisdom in order to make sound judgments and solid decisions.

Digital leaders today must apply independent thinking, multi-intelligence and take interdisciplinary approaches to break down outdated rules or traditions, and improve leadership effectiveness and maturity. Interdisciplinary leaders have unique insight to bridge the multitude of gaps and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively by inspiring team members to create a portfolio of new ideas, concepts, and scenarios. Every time you propose a solution, be sure you have taken feedback from all parties involved, and coaching team members on interdisciplinary management practices to achieve high performance results.

Innovative leadership is in demand as digital is the age of innovation: Digitalization means change, consistent knowledge flow, continuous improvement, and persistent pursuit of self management. Innovative leaders can set the tone for encouraging innovation and build a unique innovation capability portfolio. It’s important to leverage all sorts of information to perceive the big picture into which the knowledge fits. Critical thinking has the potential to be a deeply creative process, identify differences, connect wider dots to discover patterns, generate novel ideas and enhance leadership influence.

Top leaders with high-level innovation competency can set the tone for encouraging innovation and build a unique innovation capability portfolio. In fact, the purpose and effectiveness of innovation depend on the leadership attitude to drive innovation and its aptitude to manage innovation. Developing that kind of leadership is essential to being successful in innovation management in today’s business climate. Innovation leaders encourage employees to pursue innovation and demonstrate their intellectual capabilities to bring positive outcomes; to get clear and focused on innovative ideas, business models, processes or solutions, and to then enact, embody and execute in a disciplined way.

Learning agile leadership is important to improve organizational agility and competency: The more complex the situation is and the world becomes, the more effective, learning agile, and mature leaders are in demand to deepen leadership influence. In many cases, senior managers are afraid of the change because it is full of uncertainty and unpredictability; and there were no solid roots for adopting new ideas, historically. Not to mention the blind spots will cloud your vision, trigger your negative emotion, cause your decision ineffectiveness, and compromise your leadership competency.

Even if you are in the senior level position, be learning agile- learn from all necessary resources, learn from others, learn from the past, etc, to build high quality leadership. Integrity, humility, respect, ethics, empathy, and sustainability, both individually and as members of a high performing leadership team to make influence effectively. Ultimately, you should shape your own viewpoint and practice your own leadership influence.

Without strong leadership, organizations would fail to increase value and competitive edge in a global economy. Leaders have to make a conscious choice to continuously learn, practice and improve upon the leadership quality and influence. Leadership turns to be more dynamic, innovative to solve problems alternatively and become more globalized and harmonized to move the world forward collaboratively.
