Applying interdisciplinary logic to gain an understanding of nonlinearity as the very characteristic of the business ecosystem could be at the tipping point for the paradigm shift.

The business world is complex, there are confusion, contradiction, or conflicts existing in the multiple components such as processes, structures, people, culture, etc. So it’s important to apply the interdisciplinary logic to deal with complex issues and a variety of management disciplines.

The solution refinement is based on the identification of cognitions, relationships and behaviors within a model, context, or scenario to achieve higher than expected business results.
Broadening the understanding of interrelationships by thinking across the multiple boxes to streamline interdisciplinary logic: The business ecosystem is dynamic, running a successful business today is a complex problem-solving continuum. Organizational leaders and professionals need to take a holistic look at the variety of business relationships and interconnectivity, enforce cross-functional communication and collaboration. Cross-disciplinary knowledge and interdisciplinary logic are often important to lead toward a deeper understanding of intrinsic-logic behind complex problems in order to come up with holistic solutions without causing further issues.

In the hyper-connected and interdependent digital era, the faster the dissemination, the better the response. People bring different perspectives and the boundaries might have changed based on the open conversations. They should take the time to thoughtfully think about the specific issue and common challenges from different angles. There are multiple, interrelated dynamics, they have to really dig beneath the superficial layer, think across the multiple boxes, see around the corner, apply interdisciplinary logic to get to the real problems in order to solve them effectively.

Breaking down the large issue into smaller problems without ignoring the interdependence of those pieces to unveil nonlinear logic: The digital era upon us is full of uncertainty, velocity, complexity, and ambiguity. It becomes complex if things do interact, particularly in the case of nonlinear interaction with interdependent relationships. There are more problems behind a problem; it’s important to apply interdisciplinary logic to uncover patterns, understand the interconnectivity underneath the surface, collect qualified information, embrace multiple perspectives for deepening understanding of chains of problems in order to solve them effectively and cost-effectively.

In practice, to gain an in-depth understanding of interdependence under complex, uncertain and ambiguous circumstances, it is important to apply interdisciplinary logic to understand the interconnected and interdependent components of issues, build strong teams with specialized expertise and unique competency for solving them pieces by pieces, integrate them into a premium solution to the large-scale problem in a structural way.

Incorporates the multi-faceted aspects of the knowledge system, innovation, and intuition to enhance multi thread logic: World = an interdependent and hyper-connected system with interactive and overlapping components. Cognitively, to uncover the logic behind complexity, people need to leverage multidimensional thought processes such as interdependent thinking, critical thinking, system thinking, holistic thinking and pattern thinking to get multifaceted aspects of issues that need to be dealt with, leverage diverse viewpoints to connect dots for expanding thoughts in multiple directions, rather than in one direction, continually update knowledge via relearning, strike the right balance of analysis and intuition, with the goal to solve problems innovatively.

Business operates in the real world, and the real world is muddy and chaotic, to understand, connect and harmonize the world, it’s important to decompose and structure multipath-logic which is based on the concept that there are multiple starting points from which one can apply logic to understand complexity, and there is nonlinear complexity that need to be handled effectively. Modern digital organizations are not just the sum of functional pieces, but an integral whole. First, try to analyze what the impact of complexity is, the second is to look for the impact on optimizing complex components in order to make the system as a whole superior to the sum of pieces, for unlocking performance holistically.

Everything nowadays is interconnected and the business ecosystem becomes more interdependent and dynamic than ever. The beauty of digitalization is its freshness as the hyper-connected digital organizations always seek fresh ideas and explore the new opportunities beyond their own company. Applying interdisciplinary logic to gain an understanding of nonlinearity as the very characteristic of the business ecosystem could be at the tipping point for the paradigm shift, treating customers, channel partners, suppliers, and varying industry ecosystem participants as active digital agents to overcome challenges, and co-solve problems innovatively for reaching the next level of organizational agility and maturity.
